Product Description
Hexacosanol is a long-chain saturated monohydric alcohol with the molecular formula of CH3 (CH2) 24CH2OH and molecular weight of 382.71. It is stable in nature, not easy to oxidize, stable to light and heat, acid and alkali resistant, no moisture absorption, and has good biodegradability and biological activity. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in N-butanol, isopropanol, diethyl ether, cyclohexane, acetone, methanol and other organic solvents.
Application
- As a nutritional supplement, it can resist fatigue,enhance immunity, protect and nourish nerves;
- Studies have shown that hexacosanol can reduce cell loss in some neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease or wind-stroke syndrome;
- Increase phagocytic activity of macrophages.
